IT is about people & technology, not just technology.

Modern technology is not just about the device or software tools you use to accomplish your daily life, it is about people.  Technology connects people and places across space and time. When it operates well it opens the doors for connections that were not possible even just a decade ago.  I have been interested in technology since I was a child, perhaps growing up watching Sci-Fi is the single most impactful reason I am in IT.  I can remember my hero Jordi Laforge on Star Trek The Next Generation, he could fix anything.  I wanted to be like him.

When I was 18 I took over the IT department in my families business which was very small at the time.  Over five years we grew from 10 employees to over 120 employees, with a national sales force across the country.  I built a small team of trusted database engineers and IT technicians and we helped grow that company to making over $100million per year.  I eventually got tired and wanted to explore something much deeper than just technology.  I moved on and went to college as a nontraditional student and received a BA in Religious Studies with an emphasis on yogic studies and psychology.

Over time this combination of hard technical skills and logical capacity joined with my Buddhist meditation training, yogic studies and a deep appreciation of human psychology.  The result of this combination of hard and soft skills is who I am today, and allows me to connect deeply with my clients, treating them not as a problem to be solved, but as unique and beautiful people with technical needs, that I get to help with!  It makes IT a great adventure rather than a slog of trouble tickets and tedious troubleshooting.  I like to become a trusted and valued member of my clients teams whether that is a home or office team.

I am a father of four daughters, we live in Longmont Colorado.  I believe in supporting local small business in order to create strong communities.

I enjoy astrophotography. This is at Loveland Pass.
